Rehearsals on Snow White and the Huntsman were often done on cheaper sets before the costuming for the minor characters had been finalized. Hence we see in this rare still the actress Charlize Theron in full costume on a cheap wooden set, the extra behind her not yet outfitted. The poor girl was sweating so profusely under the hot studio lights she opted for nearly the minimum clothing possible (keeping the panties was a wise choice given the cheap scratchy brown rope). By the time shooting began, the scene was cut from the script, whence this photo has not been published until now.
Another never finished production was an R-rated version of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Black Cat starring Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Winslet fresh from their appearance in Titanic. The advertising campaign was all laid out: “The Titanic stars of the screen now appearing in a Titanic tale of terror by the Titan of Terror himself.” Unfortunately, an earthquake destroyed the sets and the production company could not raise enough to rebuild them and the film was never completed. Winslet acquired the only footage of the scene pictured here and destroyed it, feeling that her writhing was more erotic than horrifying.
At last it can be revealed: Here is a still from the never finished production of Andromeda in the Black Lagoon, which was to star Tuesday Weld. Legal difficulties with Universal over the appropriateness of the Creature from the Black Lagoon being seen with a topless actress eventually halted the production. A remake of The Creature from the Black Lagoon is planned and we hope the new version will not be so shy when it comes to the female form divine.
My favourite episode of Buffy the Vampire Killer was the one in which Elvira made a guest appearance as the horror hostess whom Buffy mistakes for a genuine witch. This, I believe, was the first episode revealing that Buffy had converted her basement into a torture chamber where she would extract information from captive vampires in her ongoing fight against the forces of evil.
It has just been announced that Pauley Perrette will be playing Andromeda in the upcoming remake of the remake of Clash of the Titans. Our reporter was on set to capture the following image of the first take of one of the key scenes of the film as we see the placement of Andromeda in chains.
